Jon Stewart: Jon Klein, You Ask For It, Every Freakin' Time
Oy, Jon Klein. When will you learn to keep your mouth shut? Last night on the Daily Show Jon Stewart (see post below) rrrrrripped into Klein and CNN based on his remarks on the Bob-Costas-Doesn't-Care-To-Discuss-Natalee-Holloway debacle, holding up this article from the New York Times (based on the story our very own TVNewser broke, by the way) in which Jon Klein is quoted dissing Fox News thusly:
"Fourteen Americans dead, and they have Natalee Holloway on," Mr. Klein said. "And they're supposedly America's news channel."...and thusly:
"There are an awful lot of things you can cover if you don't have people tied up with this meaningless nonsense."Oh Jon Klein, you live in a big, shining glass house. Says Jon: "Big props to CNN's Jon Klein - here's some of the meaningful stuff they've been covering for the past few days, you know, not having their people tied up with the story." Cut to montage:
Jon: "This...is CNN?"
(It's even funnier in the non-typed out version. I laughed pretty hard)
