Okay, does anyone know what happened to the semi-regular ESPN2 column of Gonzo journalism’s favorite son Hunter S. Thompson? We know about the Wayne Ewing-directed movie that looks on the Doctor’s life with a jaundiced eye, but where did Raoul Duke himself go to? Is he hiding down at the Woody Creek Tavern? Up at Floyd’s trout farm? Did the Nixon Fan Club finally get him? People tell us that lately, HST has seen his ESPN “Hey Rube” column heavily edited each time he went on a particularly uncensored rant against the Government. He hasn’t written anything on the site since late December. If you have a clue, tell us. Tell us at once. We need him.
