Palin and McCain Doubleteam Couric: Gotcha Journalism, ‘Is That a Pizza Place?’
There is something ironically satisfying about the fact that Katie Couric‘s return to the spotlight is in large measure due to her current takedown of Sarah Palin. The latest Couric-Palin interview (sort of like the 2.0 Frost/Nixon interviews except no one expects to see them further acted out anywhere but SNL) also features John McCain! On paper this certainly seems like a coup for Couric — the first joint sit down interview with the GOP ticket — in reality, however, it’s hard not to conclude the McCain camp is just plain scared to send Palin out there solo again.
