People.com Seeks Celeb-Obsessed Managing Editor

If you live-tweeted the Golden Globes “because it was fun,’ and can predict off-screen engagements with near-psychic ability, this is the job for you. People.com is looking for a managing editor to run its 24/7 breaking celebrity news website with passion and vision.

In this role, you’ll be expected to manage a team of reporters in order to be on top of breaking news in film, television, style and celebrity lifestyle. You’ll also conceptualize and oversee feature packages, while producing smart, fun, accurate and SEO-optimized content. New technology should be exciting to you, as you’ll be collaborating on initiatives for both social media and mobile products.

The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of editorial experience at a major consumer newspaper or magazine brand, with a majority of those years at the senior editor level or higher. You must have online experience to pass “go.” Those who can manage a team of 15-plus, and have working understanding of HTML, CMS and metrics will sail right to the top of the resume pile. Interested? Apply here.
