People.com Seeks Pop Culture-Obsessed Deputy Editor

If you’re an American Idol junkie and can’t wait for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s big day, People.com has the perfect job for you. The celebrity website is looking for a new deputy editor to join its New York team.

In this role, you’ll work with the managing editor on site strategy, editorial voice and overall digital initiatives for the People brand. In addition to managing the editorial calendar and flow of daily content, you’ll top edit features, evaluate pitches and manage the turn-around of timely stories.

To be considered, you should have at least five years of experience as a senior editor, preferably in the digital space. Of course, you’ll need to be a leader with strong editing and writing skills, as well as solid news judgment. You should have an understanding of SEO and site metrics, and be passionate about pop culture. Interested? Apply here.
