Peter Braunstein: All sorts of scary
More information is coming out about the quickly-infamous Peter Braunstein, vainglorious writer/playwright and now alleged Hallowe’en fake fireman rapist who had planned his assault so meticulously that he set actual fires to buttress his claim that he was from the FDNY, so his victim would let him in to her apartment. The whole thing is horrific.
Which is why that’s all I have to say. Plenty of coverage and you can read it as much as your stomach can take. Braunstein was not exactly a shrinking violet on the NY media scene, even darkening MB’s own message boards at one point; true crime blog The Dark Side has a very long but incredibly well-sleuthed entry on Braunstein, and actually dug up some of Braunstein’s old blog entries.
