Comedian Tom Green Dusts Off Planking Origins Video

Get ready to read a lot about this video in the next day or so. After comedian Tom Green posted the previously U.S.-unseen 1994 bit below on YouTube, he also spoke with CNN LA reporter Alan Duke.

Green says he had to contact Canadian broadcaster Rogers Cable to track down the clip, which ran under the sketch title “Dead Guy” but was never shown on MTV. He says the Ottawa street shtick started even earlier when he was still a rapper and was showcased in a 1990 MuchMusic report.

So there you go, eh? Another memorable bit of comedy hatched in the native land of SCTV, Jim Carrey, Mike Myers, and Dan Aykroyd.
