Publishers Weekly EIC Out in RBI Shake Up
Reed Business Information became the latest media property to restructure and Publishers Weekly editor-in-chief Sara Nelson was a surprise casualty. Brian Kenney, the editor of School Library Journal, will replace Nelson while keeping his position.
The New York Observer called Nelson “something of a den mother for an industry that, on its worst days, seems to be crumbling.”
In total, RBI will cut seven percent of its staff in a move that Reed Elsevier hopes will increase the arm’s sale price.
