Sirius Denies Stern Exit Rumors
Despite swirling rumors of an exit strategy, Howard Stern is staying with Sirius, the company says. Yesterday, the New York Post reported Stern, who jumped to Sirius Satellite Radio in January, may return to terrestrial radio. Today, Sirius is denying the report. "There has never been any discussion of Howard Stern in any way, shape, or form being anything but exclusive to Sirius," Sirius spokesman Patrick Reilly told Reuters. While there are 500 million reasons why Stern would stay with Sirius, the Post reported a deal between Stern, Sirius CEO Mel Karmazin, Citadel Broadcasting Corp. and ABC Radio could put Stern back on the FM airwaves.
