Friends, Colleagues Pay Tribute to Daryl Robinson, a.k.a. ‘Dr. Mixologist’

DarrylRobinsonPicOn Facebook, Daryl Robinson‘s personal assistant Monique described her suddenly departed boss as warm-hearted:

He was full of light and charisma… He was like a big brother to me.

In Wednesday’s New York Post report about the 50-year-old former Cooking Channel show host being found dead in his Brooklyn apartment, neighbor Mark Holmes said Robinson was fully invested in their Bedford-Stuyvesant community:

“He was a real nice, cool guy. He always donated stuff to the block. We have a big block association. He always participated in everything.”

Cause of death has yet to be determined. The best way to remember the former host of 2010 series Drink Up would seem to be to savor at some point this week one of his many cocktail creations. Via his blog, he shared in recent months recipes for drinks including Rudolph’s Spritzer, which he created for a FOX News magazine feature. RIP.
