Road & Track has added Sam Smith as its executive editor and John Krewson as a senior editor. Smith’s work has appeared in such publications as Esquire, Wired, Car and Driver and The New York Times. He was also previously a senior editor at Jalopnik.

Krewson was most recently the sports editor for The Onion. He had been with The Onion for over 20 years. Krewson was also previously a deputy editor at Jalopnik.

“Sam is a compelling writer, a talented photographer and a well-respected name in the auto world, while John brings a long history of editorial leadership to the table,” said Larry Webster, Road & Track’s editor-in-chief. “I’m thrilled to have them join us as we continue to create the ultimate magazine for the passionate automotive enthusiast.”

Smith begins at Road & Track on July 30 and Kewson joins the magazine on August 1.
