Runner’s World Races Onto The iPad
(That headline contains a little bit of the ‘ol running humor for you all, from someone who can barely muster the energy to run from wayward taxis.)
Today, Runner’s World introduces its digital edition for the iPad, selling a version of its September issue — sponsored exclusively by Puma — for $4.99 through the Apple App store.
Those who purchase the edition will receive 26 pages of articles and additional special features, including a look at Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden’s running habits, an audio reading from Peter Sagal (host of NPR’s “Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me!”), plus exclusive videos, interactive polls, quizzes, and slideshows not found in the print edition. The edition will also make use of enhanced video — allowing readers to, for example, watch reviews of running gear, as well as bonus photos and a marathon training guide.
