Rupert Murdoch: Australia’s Number Two

The commodities boom has helped to edge out Rupert Murdoch as the richest man in Australia. Perth-based Andrew Forrest of Fortescue Metals Group was ranked last month by Forbes Magazine Australia’s richest man, thanks to his iron ore exporting company. And with A$7.9 billion in News Corp shares, Murdoch is the second richest man in Australia.
