Rupert Murdoch Buys Four-Floor, $57 Million Penthouse for Rad Bachelor Lifestyle

The party’s at Rupes! Rupert Murdoch, who recently lost his Upper East Side penthouse to Wendi Deng in their divorce, has purchased a four-floor penthouse at One Madison Park for $57 million. The New York Daily News reports that the apartment clocks in at over 10,000 square feet, making it about 2,000 square feet bigger than any apartment in his old UES building. Take that, Wendi.

One Madison Park is hard to miss. It’s that 60 story tall, skinny glass building on East 23rd Street near Madison Park. The Met Life Tower is nearby. Murdoch must have really liked the spot, because that $57 million price tag makes his penthouse the most expensive property ever purchased below 57th Street.

One other item to note about Murdoch’s new pad? Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen are his neighbors. We can’t wait for the first kegger.
