Entertainment Exec Fashions Wedding Video Hit

As Digital Development Executive at Endemol, the world’s largest independent TV production company, Adam Besserman spends his days crafting online content. So when it came time to spruce up a recently sent out electronic invitation to his upcoming July 2011 nuptials with actress Elana Schwarzman, he decided to create an original, full-length trailer in the style of The Purple Rose of Cairo.

Teasing the wedding under the title Save the Date, the trailer – shot over a weekend at the Beverly Cinema and other LA locations – sees Schwarzman stepping off the movie screen and causing havoc. The three-minute video is quickly gathering viral steam and has been met, says Besserman, with surprisingly emotional reactions.

“I’m honestly a bit shocked by the reception,” Besserman tells FishbowlLA via telephone. “So many people raving that they were brought to tears. My first hint came last Monday, when Elana had a couple of girlfriends over. I showed it to them and they were tearing at the end, asking to see it again. Even my little brother has been really moved by it.”

In just a few days, the YouTube video has garnered more than 1,400 views, a number that is sure to climb in the coming months. The titular date is July 9th, 2011, at the Bel Air Bay Club in the Pacific Palisades.
