Seinfeld: Daily Show Is Like The Times

After calling Jon Stewart out on the pronunciation of “sanguine” (“This is the smartest show on television, you cannot mispronounce words”) on a pre-Michael Richards episode of the Daily Show, Jerry Seinfeld offered Stewart some career advice:

Jon Stewart: When should I get out?
Seinfeld: The sad thing is you can’t — you have one of those shows you’ll do ’til your dead … It’s good and good and good — it’s like the paper. Can the New York Times go, ‘That’s it, we’re going off’?

A viewer notes: “Notice what happens when they switch seats — suddenly Seinfeld is a head taller than Stewart. How much taller is Jon’s seat?!”
