SELF Editor Lucy Danziger Hosts Party For Book Launch At Monkey Bar

Lucy Danziger, editor-in-chief of SELF magazine, hosted a party for her new book, The Nine Rooms of Happiness, at Graydon Carter’s Monkey Bar. (This post was, perhaps, partially an excuse to write “Graydon Carter’s Monkey Bar.”)

Attendees at the event (“Fanzigers”) included socialite Lizzie Tisch, Dylan Lauren of Dylan’s Candy Bar, socialite and philanthropist Evelyn Lauder, New York Times executive editor Bill Keller, newscaster Paula Zahn, journalist and interviewer Charlie Rose, publicist Peggy Siegal, television anchor and woman-who-puts-up-with-Kathie Lee Gifford Hoda Kotb, and Graydon Carter himself. (Who, according to the press release we received about the event, dined with Mick Jagger after the party. Jealous.)

Danziger’s book, co-written with women’s health psychiatrist Catherine Birndorf, M.D, (pictured in gray) will be released this month.
