Sheekey: Bloomberg Would Be A Good VP For Obama

bloomberg_michael.jpg

Kevin Sheekey, the malarkey-talking aide to media mogul-Mayor Michael Bloomberg, appeared on NY1′s Inside City Hall with Dominic Carter, floating the proposition that Bloomberg would make a good running mate for Senator Barack Obama. ”I actually think the Mayor is the ultimate swing voter … he is one of the true Independents in this country.” Sheekey also noted that Obama called up Bloomberg on Thursday, but the details of their conversation were not disclosed.

After Sheekey’s segment, all present at The Reporter’s Round Table — consisting of The NYPost’s Robert George, WNYC’s Brian Lehrer, and The NY Daily News’ Elizabeth Benjamin — all dismissed the idea.
