Simpsons Stand Up for South Park…Kind Of

simpsons 2.png

Last night, the Simpsons lent their timid support to the creators of South Park. As you may have heard, South Park’s Trey Parker and Matt Stone have recently made enemies of someone other than the typical vapid celebrities or attention seeking politicians they usually piss off. After the airing of their 200th episode, which featured the prophet Mohammed in a bear costume, a blogger on the website revolutionmuslim.com posted inflammatory comments, which seemed to suggest Parker and Stone should fear for their lives.

“We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid….They will probably end up like Theo Van Gogh for airing this show.”

Van Gogh, of course, was the Dutch filmmaker who was murdered after making a controversial documentary that addressed violence against Muslim women.
