Sirius Broadcasts Wimbledon Play-By-Play

Proving yet again that Sirius could care less about ratings, the satellite radio network is broadcasting play-by-play coverage of the Wimbledon tennis championships, which was to begin play today in London.

SIRIUS will once again serve up a fortnight of top tennis, with comprehensive live coverage from the historic All England Club from June 26-July 9th. Enjoy baseline-to-baseline broadcasts of the top Wimbledon matches.

We’ve actually heard tennis play-by-play online, which … is as compelling as it sounds — you’ll hear “and the exchange continues” quite a bit — and only slightly less compelling than NASCAR radio.

No word on whether Sirius plans to expand its coverage of paddle sports to ping-pong, but don’t put it past ‘em.
