SNY Debuts New Midtown Manhattan Studio

Many TV stations have unveiled renovated studios or new locations in recent months. That’s als0 spilled over to sports channels.

SNY, the home of Mets regular season telecasts, has redone its digs at Avenue of the Americas and 51st Street. SNY, starting its sixth season, has an upgraded set for its Studio A, a spokesman confirms to FishbowlNY.

Changes that viewers will notice include a giant wall of video, commonplace today for all TV news and highlight shows. The set offers quite the multimedia experience with nine 55-inch monitors, stacked in a custom built wall.

Sportsvideo.org first had details of the new look and says the studio contains 14 monitors including three 60-inch plasma screens, and a 42-inch screen installed in the desk.
