The Berlin-based company today may have inadvertently provided much fodder for discussion of the old adage – “A great face for radio.” We’re kidding, of course… Please, close that outbound email message window.
SoundCloud’s new visual player is pretty straightforward. However, for any frequent user like us, it’s fantastic to no longer be limited to visuals that look like an EKG.
“The design process for our new player was built around feedback from our users and tech partners,” a company rep tells FishbowlNY. “To help with today’s launch, we’ve got some key artists putting up premieres, including The 1975 with a new remix of “Chocolate,” the Steve Aoki & Autoerotique vs. Demitri Vegas & Like Mike “Feedback” and a 90-second snippet of SchoolBoy Q‘s new track “Gangsta” (pictured) from his upcoming album Oxymoron.”
Since this is an audio improvement, there is also an audio explanation of the new SoundCloud features from comedy podcasters Jake and Amir. In addition, for Pro Unlimited SoundCloud users, the new player offers some cool marketing options.
