SPIN Launches iPad App

SPIN has launched their first iPad app, called SPIN Play. Like the magazine, the app is all about music. Each edition contains access to 60 streaming songs and 30 videos, as well as access to content from the magazine.

To sweeten the deal, SPIN is even partnering with Apple so that consumers can access subscriptions ($7.99 a year) easier. You can also download single issues for $1.99.

Doug Brod, Editor-in-Chief at SPIN, says SPIN Play combines the best of both the print and digital world.

“SPIN Play is a completely new way to access and discover music, while reading the high-quality authoritative journalism that has been the hallmark of the magazine for more than a quarter century.”

FishbowlNY got a chance to try out the app and we can vouch for it. It’s designed well and contains tons of content. If you download it and are somehow disappointed, you probably don’t like fun or happiness.
