Former Extra Intern Moves Up the Coast to KXLY-TV

During her college years at Arizona State University, Kylee Cruz interned at a number of different places. There was KTVK-TV in Phoenix, media in her hometown of Yuma, and the non-descript Glendale offices of entertainment news magazine Extra.

Cruz also got to interview Diane Sawyer for a Walter Cronkite School of Journalism luncheon event and was voted “Outstanding Undergraduate Student” of 2010-11. Now, she’s ready to start her professional career with KXLY-TV Channel 4 in Spokane Washington and make good on some precocious beginnings. Per the station’s warm welcome post:

Back when she was only six-years-old, her neighbor started calling her the “cub reporter” because she always asked so many questions.

The KXLY blurb also says that Kylee is open to story ideas, so here’s a suggestion from FishbowlLA. Resurrect those Extra rolodex connections to connect with a Spokane celeb now working the sunny side in Hollywood (Dyan Cannon, Hilary Swank…).
