Stan Lee Zings the Zombie Craze

In the latest issue of TIME, the venerable Stan Lee answers ten questions on the back page.

Lee is still going strong at age 89, but one thing he apparently doesn’t spend too much time thinking about is any imminent zombie invasion. Here’s his answer to reporter Belinda Luscombe’s query, “Which are you personally more afraid of: mutants, zombies or space aliens?”:

“I don’t understand zombies, because it seems to me that somebody who is dead and comes back to life should be grateful that he’s here living again – why would he want to eat other people up? I think the first thing he’d do is get a nice apartment and figure how he can make a living and get a girlfriend. I’m personally more afraid of what’s really going on with nuclear weapons and things like that.”

Hear that, web series aspirants? Lee just dropped the perfect anti-TheWalking Dead premise in your lap. Nice guy zombie moves in next door and tries to make do at his first menial job while figuring out the challenges of the LA dating scene.
