Steven Florio, 1949-2007

Sad news to report. Longtime Condé Nast CEO Steve Florio has died at the age of 58 of complications from a heart attack. Over at the Times, David Remnick sums him up nicely:

“Steve was the antithesis of a business-school-minted android… He had Groucho’s big cigar and sly mustache, and he was pinstriped and dapper like one of Peter Arno’s cartoon executives.”
