Sticks and stones can break Adam Nagourney’s bones but names will just make him paranoid

Poor Adam Nagourney – not only does some weird stalkerish blogger ape him online but the growing tide of poison-pen emails and blog posts are making him a little paranoid, according to Howard Kurtz. Kurtz turns a sympathetic ear to media types like Nagourney, ABC’s Linda Douglass, andn CNN’s Jeff Greenfield (don’t you be calling him a baked-potato brain!) about “toxic” bloggers and emails (apparently Newsweek’s Howard Fineman is such a lighting rod for vicious attacks he had to set up a separate e-mail account). Greenfield says he’s glad that there are non-baked-potato-brains out there watchdogging the media – and as for the invective-spewing twerps – “that’s just part of the process.”

Oh well – as long as they spell your name right.
