The TONYBlog catalogues the thoughts of various striking writers from yesterday, the day of the strike. 22-year old Simon Rich, who joined the Writers Guild of America East and the SNL writing staff just weeks ago, said:

”It’s pretty obvious that the way people consume jokes is going to change dramatically in the next 20 years. Rationally, if we didn’t do this now, there’d be no point in having a union.”
