StyleBistro has done pretty well for itself since launching in the summer of 2010. According to comScore, the site is the sixth most popular in the U.S. in the fashion/style/beauty category and now has some new editorial stewardship to push those numbers higher.
Ann Brady (pictured) comes to StyleBistro from the Shopzilla search engine beso.com. She has also served as a contributing editor for In Style‘s e-commerce site stylefind.com and as senior associate fashion editor at Lucky magazine. From today’s announcement:
“As a seasoned editor, stylist and marketing consultant, Ann has a multi-faceted understanding how readers consume fashion content, and as a result, has the inherent ability to connect with a female audience in a truly meaningful way,” said John Newlin, editor-in-chief at parent company Livingly Media. “We’re confident that with Ann at the helm, StyleBistro will continue to offer audiences the most engaging and comprehensive celebrity style coverage on the web.”
“StyleBistro is wonderfully unique in its ability to take even the most lavish couture trends and make it relatable to readers,” said Brady. “I’m honored and excited to be able to apply my diverse perspective of fashion and beauty to StyleBistro.”
Livingly Media, which also publishes Zimbio and Lonny, was founded in 2006 and currently has offices in New York and San Carlos, CA. Brady – who started at StyleBistro today – replaces Danica Lo, presently a contributing fashion writer to glamour.com.
