Time Out New York EIC Jumps to Break Media’s Made Man

Arsenio Hall Lands CBS Late-Night Talk Show Deal

Yes, you read that headline right. Arsenio Hall has landed a deal with CBS Television Distribution to develop a new syndicated late-night talk show for Fall of 2013. After winning this year’s Celebrity Apprentice, Hall is apparently hot with the 18-34 demographic–at least according to the press release. Hall’s renewed popularity was news to this 32-year-old.

Tribune Company is a co-partner in the deal. The show will be broadcast on Tribune Co.’s 17 nationwide TV stations–including KTLA-TV in Los Angeles. Here’s hoping it goes well. Just imagine how many journalism jobs are probably riding on this thing. “Aresenio’s last in his time slot again? Damn. Well, better axe the Wednesday Times. Aresenio’s really making headway with the tween demo. He just needs a few more months to turn this thing around.”
