Bloomberg TV’s Dominic Chu Recalls Panic of Stock Market Crash

A veteran of Wall Street, Dominic Chu landed his gig as a markets reporter for Bloomberg Television with just his knowledge of finance and a stellar audition. And though he is relatively new to the media industry, he has covered his share of hard hitting news during his two years on the air, including the Flash Crash of 2010.

“It was definitely a very fast and furious situation,” Chu said in his Mediabistro interview. “Things were literally happening not in hours or minutes, but seconds sometimes. It was a bit of an adrenaline rush, because it was historic just by the sheer volatility. Probably one of the hardest parts was trying to stay calm and be able to deliver some kind of message that was understandable to the audience.”
