Olympics.Time.com features a wide array of content, from 50 competitors we should all be watching to a slideshow packed with some great Time Olympic issue covers of the past.

“From now through the end of the Games, Time’s London bureau, led by Europe editor Catherine Mayer, will have daily coverage of the athletic and cultural phenomenon that is the Summer Olympics,” added Time.com’s managing editor, Cathy Sharick, in a memo.

Mayer now joins the ranks of  Jim Frederick, Time International’s Editor and Zoher Abdoolcarim, the magazine’s Asia Editor.

“She [Mayer] will help Time expand, deepen and enrich our international coverage on all platforms and work closely with our business side to seek out new opportunities for growth,” wrote Rick Stengel in an internal memo. He added that she will continue to pen British culture pieces and profiles “as often as her new duties will allow.”

The latest issue of Time not only features a fantastic cover, but a great article on the News Corp. scandal by the magazine’s London Bureau Chief, Catherine Mayer. In the piece, Mayer discusses what News Corp. is up against now and where the company could end up.
