VICE Writer Gets Into Twitter Shouting Match with Corey Feldman

First off, we were not aware that VICE is engaged in the business of allowing some of the people it profiles to get final approval of an article before the piece goes to post. Apparently, that was a condition imposed by actor Corey Feldman on contributor Jamie Lee Curtis Taete, who agreed.

Given this journalistic contract, one would assume that Feldman was thrilled with the resulting coverage of his recent birthday party. Wrongo. As Taete details, the actor went ballistic on Twitter in the aftermath of publication, even going so far as to publish some of the reporter’s personal information. Taete tried to ignore it all, but on Labor Day, Feldman upped the angry ante with a press release. From Taete’s post:

So, to clarify, Corey has falsely accused me of lying, tweeted out my personal phone number, retweeted hundreds of negative comments about me, indirectly accused me of trying to buy drugs in his house, implied I sexually harassed his female friends, implied I sexually harassed him, and then, without any hint of irony, accused me [via press release] of being a bully.

Great job, Corey.

Pseudonymous Author Retraces Her Double Life as an LA Schoolteacher, Dominatrix

“Darlene” grew up in an idyllic Pasadena neighborhood. As a young, aspiring actress, she photo doubled for 14-year-old Christian Bale and 12-year-old Corey Feldman. She also co-starred in the very poorly received 1987 revenge flick Monstrosity.

Darlene eventually wound up teaching Monday-to-Thursday evening ESL and teenage remedial classes at an LA public school. The real money however, up until 2007, came from her other vocation: dominatrix for-hire by the hour, Fridays through Sundays. It’s all entertainingly laid out in Playing Darlene: The True Double Life of a Public School Teacher and Professional Dominatrix, a 109-page book that will no doubt benefit from the current appetite for all things Fifty Shades of Grey-related. And in this case, all the more intriguing because it is gender-reversed and purportedly all true.

We were not expecting the LA media to have played a key role in Darlene’s whips-and-chain progress. But this was allegedly the case, when she was stationed at a residential-area place of business and the locals started protesting outside:

Mistress Victoria waltzed triumphantly into the lounge and announced to the ladies that the media were on their way. Reporters from the three major networks wanted to interview someone and she needed someone to volunteer to talk on camera…

Former Little House Star Picks Up Where Corey Feldman Left Off

As we reported in August, an interview given by Corey Feldman to Nightline alleging that pedophilia is rampant in Hollywood begs for a more thorough journalistic investigation. That hasn’t quite happened, yet, but with the recent LA Times revelations about casting associate Jason James Murphy and last week’s indictment of LA personal manager Marty Weiss, the issue is front and center once again.

Most notably via a December 5 report by Meaghan Murphy. Among those the reporter spoke to was 49-year-old former Little House on the Prairie star Alison Arngrim (pictured), who detailed her own personal experiences with sexual abuse in the 2010 book Confessions of a Prairie Bitch. On the heels of Feldman’s August allegations, she shares some equally shocking recollections:

“This has been going on for a very long time,” concurs Arngrim. “It was the gossip back in the ‘80s. People said, ‘Oh yeah, the Coreys [Feldman, Haim], everyone’s had them.’ People talked about it like it was not a big deal…”

Debate Over Corey Feldman Pedophilia Accusations Continues

It was the Nightline interview that reverberated across Hollywood. Last week, Corey Feldman made some wide-ranging accusations relating to his days as child star, suggesting that pedophilia is rampant in Hollywood and that an unnamed perpetrator was responsible for the death of his friend Corey Haim.

Today, the director of the Catholic League cries foul, telling that “the same mainstream media which hyperventilates over reports of a priest accused of a ‘boundary issue,’ such as kissing a girl on her head, seem to accept with aplomb Corey Feldman’s recent remarks about the prevalence of pedophilia in Hollywood.” But that’s not quite true.
