WebNewser: NYMag.com announced today that it plans to use Blinkx, Metacafe, Sling Media, YouTube and 1Cast to expand distribution of its original videos, with the partner sites selling advertising against the fare for a revenue share.

Ex-Page Six-er Corynne Steindler Talks HollywoodLife On The Menu

Just one week after launching celebrity and style gossip blog HollywoodLife.com under Bonnie Fuller, senior reporter Corynne Steindler took a few minutes to join the mediabistro.com Morning Media Menu podcast with host Jason Boog of GalleyCat and guest host Joe Ciarallo, editor of PRNewser.

Corynne talked about her new job at HollywoodLife as well as her career from the gossipy blog Jossip to The New York Post‘s gossip column Page Six and beyond.

“When I started at Jossip I was reporting a bit but I was mostly musing on the media news that had already been out there,” she explained. “I was breaking stories but not consistently. So when I went to Page Six I really honed those reporting skills and really learned how to break news, get exclusives, report — like really report, not just throw in my opinion on something. And so I think by combining those skills, it made HollywoodLife the perfect place for me to move on to.”

Corynne also let Jason and Joe in on Bonnie Fuller’s role at HollywoodLife. “She’s here every day,” Corynne said about Bonnie, who she once interned under at American Media Inc. “She’s blogging. She’s editing. She’s discussing news stories and ideas with the staff. She’s helping choose photos. She’s totally, totally involved. And I sit right next to her, so it’s pretty awesome. We work really closely together to try to build the site every day.”

HollywoodLife.com Snags Another NY Gossip Columnist

Bonnie Fuller continues to beef up the staff of her Mail.com Media Corp.-owned celeb Web site HollywoodLife.

Just a few weeks after picking up Page Six reporter Corynne Steindler from The New York Post, Fuller has hired New York Daily News Gatecrasher columnist Laura Schreffler to serve as West Coast bureau chief. Before joining the Daily News, Schreffler worked as lifestyle editor at OK! magazine.

Fuller’s other recent hires include Will Lee, former New York bureau chief of TMZ.com. Lee was hired in September to serve as HollywoodLife’s executive editor, and he will work out of the publication’s Los Angeles office with Schreffler.

Steindler Leaves Page Six To Join Bonnie Fuller

The New York Observer reports that Corynne Steindler is leaving The New York Post‘s Page Six gossip column to join Bonnie Fuller‘s new venture HollywoodLife as a senior reporter.

Steindler is the third Page Six staffer to leave in the past few months, following the lead of Paula Froelich and Bill Hoffman, who departed in July.

HollywoodLife confirmed Steindler’s move this afternoon. “We are privileged to welcome such a seasoned reporter to HollywoodLife.com,” Fuller said. “With terrific experience breaking celebrity news, Corynne’s addition is a significant advantage to our strong and growing editorial team.”

Fuller has been recruiting some top gossip talent to her site, recently snagging TMZ‘s Will Lee to serve as executive editor.

The short hallway between the “Pool Room” and bar acted as a sort of cosmic, generational media portal last night at the Four Seasons, where a pair of cocktail parties — one celebrating Larry King‘s 50 years in broadcasting (a.k.a the “old people room”), the other celebrating the New York Observer‘s redesigned paper and Web site (a.k.a the “kids room”) — were in full, boozy, media-centric swing.

In the “Old People Room”: King and his television and famous New York pals, like Joan Rivers, Donald and Melania Trump, the View‘s Barbara Walters (at one point Trump and Walters were just feet from each other, but didn’t appear to acknowledge each other) and Joy Behar, Campbell Brown, Mario Cuomo, Lou Dobbs, Phil Donahue and Marlo Thomas, Tina Brown, Jeff Greenfield, Ron Howard, Time Inc. managing editor Jim Kelly, Keith Kelly, Ray Kelly, Oprah B.F.F. Gayle King, Calvin Klein, Time Warner chief Dick Parsons, Sandra Bernhard, Jerry Stiller, Arliss actor Robert Wuhl, Mort Zuckerman, American Morning‘s newly-installed Kiran Chetry, Glenn Beck, Montel Williams, James Carville, Tom Wolfe, Andy Rooney and artist Peter Max, whose colorful rendering of King served as the room’s centerpiece.

Fittingly, Trump’s daughter, Ivanka, chose the Observer party over King’s.

Meatpacking Protesters Annoy Christina Aguilera, Nylon Party

Partygoers lining up outside Hotel Gansevoort for Nylon‘s 8th anniversary rooftop bash Wednesday night were treated to thongs, er, throngs of sign-wielding and bucket-banging Meatpacking District residents none-too-thrilled with the hotel’s plan to put up a billboard in their ‘hood.

Once inside, though, it took revelers roughly two SoCo-with-limes and an hourlong “gifting suite” — open to all attendees — to forget about the silly little protest on the street some 14 floors below. (“What’s the big deal about a billboard? Look at these jeans!”)

Christina Aguilera, the evening’s host, eventually showed, as did Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Lance Bass, who sang-along to Bass’ former boy-band boy Justin Timberlake‘s “Sexy Back.”

Other FBNY notables: Alan Cumming, Run-D.M.C.’s Darryl “D.M.C.” McDaniels, Eve, Page Sixer Corynne Steindler with her sister, and Daily News Gatecrasher Ben Widdicome sporting an impressive Boris Becker beard.

Lunch at Michael’s: Joan Rivers Keeps An Eye On The Door

It was a typically atypical lunch crowd today at Michael’s — Tom Brokaw here, Joan Rivers there, Cobb salads everywhere — making the Diet Cokes and Pellegrinos go down like fine wine. A quartet of Rubensteins — Howard, Richard, Steve and Atoosa — dined at four separate tables, while the Michael of Michael’s, Michael McCarty, explained to us the finer points of Michael’s New York vs. Michael’s Santa Monica. “Fridays and Saturdays are big in L.A.,” he told us. “In New York, it’s Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.”

See, New York is so badass, we need the weekend to recover from the week. Suck it, Hollywood!
