Photos From Mediabistro’s Producing Online Content Panel

onlinepanel.jpgIf you missed last week’s Mediabistro panel discussion on creating and distributing online entertainment content online, here are some photos of the event for you to enjoy.

The panel, moderated by Reuters business and technology reporter Manoush Zomorodi, featured panelists IFC executive producer Colin Moore, “The Heather Gold Show” host Heather Gold, Bright Red Pixels founding partner Adam Elend, For Your Imagination CEO and co-founder Paul Kontonis, Next New Networks vice president of business development Diane de Cordova and blip.tv co-founder Dina Kaplan.

Mediaite.com‘s Panel Nerds also have a pretty entertaining recap if you (like us) missed the show. We like blip.tv’s Kaplan’s insight for making money with online content the best: “Advertisers are a lot less interested in content than they are in your audience.” But good content creates an engaged audience, right?

Blip.tv Announces New Partnerships With NBC, YouTube, Vimeo

blip.pngThis morning we got to check out blip.tv‘s Soho office as the Web video start-up announced that it was expanding its distribution network thanks to new partnerships with YouTube, Vimeo, NBC Local Media New York and Roku Inc., which makes the Roku digital video player.

“We used to say that blip reached about half of the video Internet,” said CEO Mike Hudack. “Now we can say that blip probably reaches about 80 percent of the video Internet.”

NY_Nonstop_Logo_Color_OnBlue_mic.jpgIn addition to the new partnerships with distributors, blip.tv also unveiled deals with TubeMogul and FreeWheel that will help independent show creators track and monetize their content. And blip.tv debuted a new dashboard this morning, which will allow content creators to “at a glance see all the tools they need,” explained blip’s CTO Justin Day.
