Students are asked to take the Knowledge is Power pledge, where they strive to be a local leader, a positive example, and to commit to bettering themselves through higher education or community service.

Those interested can download the registration form at Power1051fm.com for their principal to fill out. The next step is to actually take the Knowlege is Power online pledge and encourage friends as well. The high school that gets the highest percentage of participation will be rewarded with the Power 105.1 Power Prom.

The Knowledge is Power pledge drive runs until May 2, and principals can register their schools until April 27.

Now the station has, in part, begun the first wave of the lineup changes. As stated on the Power 105 website in a big banner across the page, former Philadelphia DJ Charlamagne Tha God, rumored to join the Clear Channel Urban station, takes hold of mornings with Power afternoon jock DJ Envy, and Sirius’ Angela Yee.

NorthEast Radio Watch reports the aforementioned changes begin on Monday, December 13.

Taking over afternoons (2 p.m. to 6 p.m.) at Power is DJ Prostyle, who has been with station as a producer and mixing DJ on Sundays.  He will also spin records on weekend shows.
