Bill Mulvihill Joins The Atlantic as Associate Publisher

Bill Mulvihill has been named associate publisher of The Atlantic. Mulvihill comes to the company from Vanity Fair, where he most recently served as national advertising director. He had been with Vanity Fair since 2011.

Prior to his time with Vanity Fair, Mulvihill was Entertainment Weekly’s East Coast advertising director for three years.

“Bill is a venerable talent in the business, with a great wealth of experience and strong connections with stellar brands,” said Hayley Romer, The Atlantic’s publisher and VP, in a statement. “We are thrilled to welcome him to The Atlantic.”

Mulvihill will join The Atlantic next month.

Sam Rosen Named The Atlantic’s VP of Marketing

The AtlanticThe Atlantic has named Sam Rosen as vice president of marketing. Rosen comes to The Atlantic from DigitasLBi, a marketing agency. His most recent role there was VP and director of social content. Prior to his time at DigitasLBI, Rosen founded Evolution.is, an advertising and branding company.

“Sam is one of the more accomplished marketing talents in the business,” said Hayley Romer, VP and publisher of The Atlantic, in a statement. “An early innovator in the development of branded content, he’s a leader in the field. His experience, plus his creativity, entrepreneurial spirit, and love of The Atlantic brand make him an invaluable addition to our team.”

Rosen’s appointment is effective immediately.

 

The Atlantic Promotes Hayley Romer

A year and a half after joining The Atlantic as associate publisher, Hayley Romer has been upped to vice president and publisher. During a quarter that will mark the brand’s best-ever for advertising revenue.

The Atlantic Names Hayley Romer Associate Publisher

Hayley Romer, a five year veteran of Condé Nast Media Group, is joining The Atlantic as Associate Publisher. Romer had been with Condé since 2007, most recently as its Executive Director of Corporate Sales.

“Hayley has a stellar reputation from all corners of the publishing landscape — from our peers, clients, and partners on the agency side, said Jay Lauf, Vice President and Publisher of The Atlantic.

Romer begins on May 30.
