IWMF Is Looking For A Few Good Women

The International Women’s Media Foundation is taking their mission to benefit women in the news industry to a whole new level.  IWMF has established the Women Entrepreneurs in the Global Digital News Frontier grant program and is looking to reward female journalists that embody the entrepreneurial spirit.

Through the support of the Ford Foundation, the IWMF is offering three $20,000 grants to women that propose new projects that will utilize digital avenues to deliver news.  Applicants are required to include sound business plans and exhibit how their work will benefit women in the media world.

If you are interested in applying for one of the grants, make sure to get your submission in before the Nov. 30 deadline.  The application form can be found on IWMF’s official website and winners will be notified on February 15, 2011.
