Jason Wagenheim Shifts to Teen Vogue

Last week Jason Wagenheim was abruptly booted as Publisher of Glamour after only three months. The day after the dismissal Wagenheim insisted he was staying at Condé Nast, and we now know that he indeed is — as Publisher of Teen Vogue.

Ad Age reports that he is taking the job from Sabine Feldmann, who has been Vice President and Publisher of Teen Vogue since April of last year. There is no word what the future holds for Feldmann, but sources are speculating that she’ll end up at Details, which has been without a Publisher since Paul Jowdy left. This would be odd though, because David Hamilton was promoted to fill Jowdy’s spot.

We’ll keep you posted when we hear how things shake out.

Gossip From The Condé Nast Holiday Luncheon

The first thing you need to understand when discussing the Condé Nast luncheon yesterday is that it was just a lunch. Luncheon is just a rich person word for lunch. With that out of the way, let’s get to some of the more notable moments from the meal at the Four Seasons.

The New York Post reports that everyone was in pretty good spirits. Charles Townsend, the CEO of Condé, said, “We had a very good year — up in high single digits,” and said the company’s digital business was doing well. Si Newhouse was sitting at a table with Scott Dadich, David Remnick, Brandon Holley and a few others. This seating arrangement can mean something or nothing. Feel free to pick one and spread those thoughts to everyone you know.

Jason Wagenheim Out as Glamour Publisher After Only Three Months

Jason Wagenheim just moved from Entertainment Weekly to Glamour in early September, but now, according to Ad Age, he’s already out. Bill Wackermann, the former Publisher of Glamour and current Executive Vice President and Publishing Director, is assuming control of the title in Wagenheim’s absence.

No reasons were given for the quick move for Wagenheim, but Ad Age has some theories:

Mr. Wackermann, a hands-on executive who was successful in his run as publisher as Glamour’s publisher, may not have stepped back as Mr. Wagenheim expected, people familiar with the situation said. But Conde may also have changed its mind and decided it didn’t want Mr. Wackermann distanced from the business he ran well for many years.

We’ll keep you posted as more details become available.

Publisher of Entertainment Weekly Moves to Glamour

Jason Wagenheim has been named Vice President, Publisher, of Glamour. Wagenheim was most recently with Time Inc., as Publisher of Entertainment Weekly. Returning to Condé Nast is sort of a homecoming for him, as he worked with various brands there before moving to Time.

William Wackermann, Executive Vice President, Publishing Director of Glamour, said of Wagenheim, “Glamour is stronger than ever, having just had its all-time highest revenue issue in September, and as we build the brand for 2012, Jason is primed for future growth. Jason is smart and driven and brings the right experience having served on multiple Condé Nast brands.”

Wagenheim’s first day is September 14.
