Condé Nast Cuts Patricia Steele

Condé Nast is cutting ties with communications head Patricia Steele. Steele — who had been with the company since late 2011 — was informed the company was letting her go by Patricia Röckenwagner, who joined the company last month.

Steele had served as senior vice president of corporate communications for Condé. According to WWD, her departure is a direct result of a restructuring that was implemented by Jill Bright, the company’s chief administrative officer.

There is no word on if Steele will be replaced, or if Röckenwagner will simply take over her duties.

Condé Nast Names Jill Bright Chief Administrative Officer

Condé Nast has promoted Jill Bright, head of HR at the company for the past 14 years, to the position of chief administrative office. The move is the latest in a string of changes aimed at refocusing Condé Nast into a more consumer revenue-driven business.

In this new position, Bright will be charged with overseeing PR for the company, promoting productivity and coordinating business initiatives. Condé Nast spokesperson Maurie Perl‘s department will now be integrated into Bright’s.

Matt Norman, formerly the VP of human resources, will now lead HR in the role Bright is vacating.
