Joel Stein Survives Live Chat, Tells FBLA All About It


Joel Stein’s live chat at the LA Times found him fielding all sorts of questions:

SlutFaceWendy: Joel: What’s the dream life? Sitcoms? Magazines? Columns?

Gargamel: Ferguson, Boot, or Chait….who would you kick off the island first?

Stein told FBLA that among the 55 chatters were some ringers.

I got a call in the middle of the chat from two friends who were making fun of me as chatters. Apparently, I answered their dumb-ass questions seriously, which made them happy. And my HS friend Art was on the chat.

Canters’ Deli came up quite a few times, as did Stein’s high school hair, living in Los Angeles, and his position on embryonic stem cell research. Time ran out before he could discuss that one.

While FBLA will occasionally complain about the LA Times, Patterico has assembled a massive list of his dislikes of and disagreements with the paper, with links, amusing photos, and snide remarks.

Idle thought: does he keep a running tally or go back at the end of the year? Either way, it’s exhaustive, but interesting. If you’re on the right-hand side of the aisle, you’ll be nodding like a bobble head doll, and if you lean to the left, you’ll need to take frequent breaks, to keep your blood pressure from spiking. But everyone’s sure to agree that Joel Stein’s a waste of precious natural resources. (Isn’t his contract up yet?)
