The Year in Review: Ten LA Journo Feel-Good Stories

In the space of a few days this time last year, film critic Alonso Duralde went from tweeting about the vile acts of an LA arsonist, to revealing he had become a victim of carport incineration, to thanking the public at large for donations to cover the purchase of a new vehicle. As such, his experiences stand as one of the more unconventionally heartwarming news stories of 2012 involving an LA journalist.

Anne Litt & Josh Groban, Part Deux

Earlier this year, we told you about the instant-classic jingle sent in the direction of KCRW DJ Anne Litt by singer Josh Groban. Based on today’s Instagram share, it looks like the relationship is still going strong.

Groban quickly re-tweeted the above photo of Litt shared @kcrw and assured that he still stands by Litt’s side:

Wow! That’s all we can say after listening to singer Josh Groban‘s tuneful jingle about KCRW DJ Anne Litt.

In his playful intro to the instant-mega bragging rights ditty, Groban jokes that as a longtime listener, he noticed that a recent, similar tribute to KCRW on-air personalities by rapper Shane Eli passed over the silky voiced Ms. Litt. So, presto, we now have Groban’s first love song for an LA airwaves lady.

An early Valentine’s Day assist goes out to KCRW music director Jason Bentley, who reached out personally to LA native Groban.
