Last night at LA Center Studios, Global Girl Media, a non-profit founded by former Olympic athlete and ESPN sportscaster Julie Foudy, touted some of its latest inspirational accomplishments.

The organization teaches the craft of citizen journalism to teenage girls from low-income neighborhoods and then shares their reports at KCET.org, BBC Africa, and many other outlets.
