Channel 2 Reporter Kristin Thorne Joins Channel 7

Thorne has been named a full-time Long Island correspondent at Channel 7.

A WABC spokesman tells FishbowlNY Thorne begins her new gig next week.

Thorne previously worked at News 12 Westchester and the ABC affiliate in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

While at WCBS, Thorne covered several high profile stories including attempted rape charges filed against former International Monetary Fund chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn and the scandal involving former Congressman Anthony Weiner.
