Harry Morton Kind of Regrets Pink Taco Restaurant Name

The November/December issue of Haute Living Los Angeles magazine has Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber on the cover, looking resplendent against blue-sky Malibu backdrop. To go along with that cover story, there’s also a fun interview by Laura Schreffler with Harry Morton, the 31-year-old son of Hard Rock Hotel and Cafe founder Peter Morton.

Morton lives above the Sunset Strip and his twin properties, The Viper Room and Pink Taco Mexican restaurant. He says he’s shopping a documentary series about the former to pay cable networks and admits that in hindsight, he might have done things a little differently with the latter:

“If I could go back, I would change the name,” Harry muses now of his haute Mexican eatery [chain]. “It started off as a funny idea; it was a joke at the time. But now we pride ourselves on our ability to evolve, and the food speaks for itself.”

Bonnie Fuller Launches New “Blogazine” HollywoodLife

hot.jpg

We’ve been hearing for months now about how Bonnie Fuller, formerly of Star and Us Weekly, was planning a media comeback with her new gossip blog HollywoodLife.com, poaching Corrynne Steindler from Page Six and Laura Schreffler from New York Daily News along the way.

Now the day has finally arrived: the launch of the “female-focused” blog HollywoodLife.

Billed as a Web site that crosses traditional magazine coverage with “interactive conversation” for women — as well as “feminine bling” from Fuller herself — HollywoodLife has already drawn in huge advertisers (Sony, We television, Old Navy) for the big names it promises to deliver. Of course, their first (and largest) post up right now is about the New Moon premiere in L.A. last night with a streaming video of Taylor Lautner, Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson walking the red carpet.

HollywoodLife.com Snags Another NY Gossip Columnist

Laura Schreffler.jpgBonnie Fuller continues to beef up the staff of her Mail.com Media Corp.-owned celeb Web site HollywoodLife.

Just a few weeks after picking up Page Six reporter Corynne Steindler from The New York Post, Fuller has hired New York Daily News Gatecrasher columnist Laura Schreffler to serve as West Coast bureau chief. Before joining the Daily News, Schreffler worked as lifestyle editor at OK! magazine.

Fuller’s other recent hires include Will Lee, former New York bureau chief of TMZ.com. Lee was hired in September to serve as HollywoodLife’s executive editor, and he will work out of the publication’s Los Angeles office with Schreffler.
