Following the 12-day, 27,273-mile whirlwind, Algieri – a graduate of Stony Brook University and the New York Institute of Technology – kept right on going:

“We officially completed the media tour Friday afternoon [September 5], and immediately following our last interview I headed straight to some additional business meetings I had scheduled for myself and my team,” said Algieri. “On Saturday, I was a Grand Marshall at the Fifth Annual Huntington Awareness Day parade, and then on Sunday morning I did a five-mile run to help shake off the jet lag. Monday I was back at the boxing gym. If you let it, a tour like that can take a lot out of you, but I made sure I was getting my work in and training in some aspect every day with my head trainer Tim Lane, so when I got back I would be ready to go.”

Did the LA Weekly Get Manny Pacquiao Barred from The Grove?

Part-time Los Angeles resident Manny Pacquiao might have to find a new place to spend his free time when he’s in town.

The Filipino boxer and politician was barred from The Grove and the television show Extra after the shopping center was tipped off to a quote Pacquiao reportedly told the Examiner, saying that gay men “must be put to death.”

Well, that’s if you listen to the LA Weekly, who took the original article out of context and tipped off The Grove owner Rick Caruso.

This is what the Examiner article originally said:

Pacquiao’s directive for Obama calls societies to fear God and not to promote sin, inclusive of same-sex marriage and cohabitation, notwithstanding what Leviticus 20:13 has been pointing all along: “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”

Jon Stewart Should Be Arrested for Elderly Abuse

Come on. You know you want it. Even though everyone and their mother knew the fake conservative outrage over President Obama inviting Common to the White House was so ridiculous the story wouldn’t make it past the weekend. But you still want it. Jon Stewart abusing Bill O’Reilly over the Common-invite on his own show.

These two go at it from time to time with mixed results. But this one wasn’t even fair. Stewart gave O’Reilly a minute or two to get a lather up, and then it was over. Well, it wasn’t over. It was like the third round of the Manny Pacquiao/Shane Mosley fight. Mosley tried to go toe-to-toe with Pacquiao, got knocked on his ass, and spent the rest of the fight running.

Part Two of the “debate” after the jump.
