Ernie Anastos, the accomplished Fox 5/WNYW 5 and 10 p.m. anchor, is hosting a new show Positively Ernie, airing tonight at 10:30 p.m.

Like the title says, Anastos will center on the ”positive” –giving viewers uplifting and inspirational stories from various special guests. Former New York Yankee manager Joe Torre will discuss his “Safe at Home” charity that helps abused children in New York and Los Angeles.

Former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan and Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira will talk about how they are giving back to the community.

Dr. Oz, seen weekdays on WNYW, will highlight medical breakthroughs, while also explaining methods for a positive attitude and healthy lifestyle.

Even Elmo and Grover from Sesame Street will stop by to tell Anastos about the influence they’ve had on children’s education for more than four decades.

The show, which Anastos also produces, airs in front of a studio audience at Fox 5.
