Michele Murphy has been named associate publisher, marketing, for Prevention magazine. Murphy comes to Prevention from the National Geographic Society, where she worked as vice president of global marketing, overseeing National Geographic, National Geographic Traveler and National Geographic Kids.

Murphy had previously worked at Rodale from 1996 to 2005. During that time she held various marketing positions.
