Dress Designer Reem Acra Skypes With Wedding Bloggers

reem.jpgHere’s a fun media story to kick off this steamy August week.

In the midst of wedding season, Brides.com Editor-in-Chief Michelle Preli has organized a “field trip” for a group of wedding bloggers to New York City tomorrow. During their day on the town, Preli has arranged for the bloggers to visit some of the wedding industry’s most iconic hot spots and major players in NYC, like designer Reem Acra.

But there is sad news: Acra has been summoned out of town for business. However, instead of missing the event altogether, FishbowlNY has learned exclusively that Acra will converse with the selected bloggers via Skype tomorrow, with the people from Skype providing a high res camera so the connection between the designer and her audience will be perfect.

Know any bloggers who are planning to attend this special meeting? We’d love to hear how it all plays out.
