Headed Back to L.A. Mike Thompson is a veteran sports and talk programmer, who had a stint from 2003 to 2007 as program director at WEPN (ESPN 1050) .

Thompson, reportedly, is staying in the ESPN family as p.d. at KSPN-AM in Los Angeles.

He most recently was VP/GM at sister station WEAE-AM in Pittsburgh.

Thompson also had stops in Philadelphia (WWDB), Dallas (KTCK-The Ticket), and in Atlanta (WCNN).

This isn’t Thompson’s first time in L. A.  He spent a portion of his career at Clear Channel’s Sports KXTA (XTRA Sports).
